Description of the Program

This program is for an already Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Homemaker Home Health Aide to become certified through the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services to be qualified to assist residents to take their medication. The CMA administers medications in Assisted-Living Residences, Comprehensive Personal Care Homes and Assisted Living Programs. Becoming a CMA is a logical step in the health care career ladder for the CNA, PCA and HHHA. The program allows the candidate to prepare for certification to assist in administration of medications in the assisted living setting.
